About The Author

Rita Gleason is the author of Evidence Ignored- What You May Not Know About Columbine. A tragic triple murder in her hometown of Poughkeepsie, NY in 1989 gave Rita a firsthand experience with violent crime. Since that time, a search to understand what drives some to commit the unthinkable has been a constant in her life. Rita pored over the more than 30K pages of public documents related to the Columbine High School shootings to find answers to questions she had about the reported details of this atrocity. What she discovered was that much has been left out of the currently accepted narrative on Columbine. Her book focuses on what's been omitted and why knowing all the facts is necessary for a more complete understanding of the events of April 20, 1999 and for helping to prevent similar future attacks.
